Rosemary has over 30 years experience as a Respiratory physiotherapist. Rosemary trained in Melbourne, and completed postgraduate qualifications La Trobe University and higher degrees at The University of Melbourne. Her clinical background includes appointments at the Alfred and Austin hospitals, treating patients after heart and lung surgery and with chronic lung disease, in intensive care and acute wards and in outpatient and home settings. Rosemary's research interests include home oxygen therapy and home-based pulmonary rehabilitation.
Rosemary has also been in private practice since the early 1980's treating respiratory patients, mainly with chronic lung disease. Rosemary has a particular interest in bronchiectasis, COPD and breathing disorders. Rosemary provides individualised home programs which may include:
- airway clearance techniques, to claer phlegm from the lungs
- structured exercise programs, for people who are unable to attend a centre-based program
- breathing control techiques, for patients who have unexplained breathlessness, or other breathing discomfort.
